Trend Alert: Using Stylish Dried Florals

The grass isn’t always greener on the other side, especially when it comes to trendy flowers. Dried florals are becoming hugely popular for weddings and events. Many brides and home decorators alike, are opting for these unique stems to give their décor a rustic yet chic statement.

One of the rising stars is the pampas grass, Cortaderia selloana. These majestic sand-coloured plumes can elevate any floral arrangement, not only by giving it height (they can be up to 12 feet tall!) but also an airy, bohemian presentation.

If you’re looking for a more subtle statement then bunny tails, Lagurus ovatus may be a great option. They’re reminiscent of the idyllic water reed, but fluffier and more eye-catching. These bring textural contrast to bouquets and can give any arrangement a warm, welcoming feel.

If you’re looking to go big or home, then try incorporating dried palms (which come in a variety of species). Their fan-like fronds make an impact by adding a tropical feel to an arrangement or they can sit tucked in between florals to give a fuller background.

Try adding these dry options to your florals and let their whimsical touch do the rest!
